Featured Who manufactured this porcelain deer?

    Hi there, any ideas on who the company is that manufactured this porcelain resting deer? The mark appears to be MC (an M superimposed on a C). The resting deer measures about 8-9 inches long and 5-6 inches tall. It is one of two deers. The other deer was standing. My wife inherited the set. She recently broke the standing deer (and is bummed).

    Once I figure out who is the manufacturer, I plan to see if I can find someone selling the standing deer that I can purchase and give to her as a Christmas present.

    At first I thought possible Freeman McFarland, but I didn't find a match.

    In doing a search for deer porcelain, I can't find any with a tail up.

    So now I am thinking possibly hobbiest, which will make it hard to find the mate.
