WILLIAM E. RYAN tugboat watercolor signed prints - Help please! :)

    Unless there is something on the back...all that is there is the title and signature. It would be odd to have the numbers on the back...correct?

    Normally the numbers are below the image on the front. Did you look at the print under a strong loupe?

    Yes. Typically it should be next to the title but there aren't any.

    Also, although it's hard to tell from the photos, it looks to me like the original works may have been paintings. If that's the case, then there is no such thing as an original print. Many artists today are making giclee prints of their paintings. They're better quality than offset prints, but still not originals.

    But yours is a print and Ludwig's is apparently the original watercolor after which the prints were made. ;)
