Measures about 10.5 inches tall. Hand painted. Very detailed! Im thinking European-ish somewhere. Only mark visible is an impressed "VG" on the bottom. 2.vg.jpg 3.vg.jpg 4.vg.jpg 5.vg.jpg 6.vg.jpg 1.vg.jpg Whatcha think?

What would that have been for . Too shallow for spills of a vase i would think.

The detailing on her scarf is amazing. And the cat pushes it over the top. LOVE THIS!

No idea of use... spoon holder or something? Matches?

Maybe for the lady of the house to hide a few coins to pay the milkman (so kitty can have her saucer of milk)?

Thanks for al the replies...Anyone know what type of porcelain this is? It feels very heavy with a semi-gloss finish.
