    Hello looking for any information on these wood blocks I picked up , their really beautifully detailed I hope the pictures do them justice .     Thank you I saw that and I sent them pictures of the blocks and waiting to hear back I wish you could see them in person and the detailing is amazing

    I had some of these that were letter type press blocks for newspaper printing they were really old.

    I can see these being an easy sell, if you're selling. There have to be collectors.

    Very nice. Wood engraving blocks. Looks like end grain maple, which is typical. I think I see seams where the block was cut then reassembled, for stability. They would look great framed with a print pulled from each block next to them.

    Hello everyone I’m sharing with you the reply I got from one of the museums I sent pictures to:
    Thank you for your enquiry. These process printing blocks were indeed created by Henri Doupagne, most probably for a commercial firearms catalogue which we are unable to identify. They date from the period 1907 to the early 1920s when Doupagne was operating in Rue du Château.
    We wish you good luck with your collecting and further research.
