Featured Wooden cheese (?) press...or??

    Wasn't sure where to list this. What is it? Seems to be some kind of Dutch press as the wording "Double Crocus Schiedam" is backward. Did it actually have a function or just decorative? @Any Jewelry or anyone else who might know. Thanks! :)

    Dough press to make a pattern??? Large Cookie press. I see a lot of presses at sales hanging on the walls to save room and as decoration.

    Yes, it looks like a cheese stamp to me. You rarely see them these days.

    Looks like there was originally a wooden handle on the back to press the stamp in by hand, rather than the usual cheese press like the home use one below.

    Any thoughts on how old would something like this be? I guess I was thinking like 1960s-70s?

    Would it have been for commercial use?

    I think it would have been used by a small cheese maker, probably a farm specialised in cheese making. 1960s would be my guess too.
