Trying to figure out what this is, or, is used for. Well made, not sure if mass produced, or a one-off. 50B21300-5861-4522-8E63-9A36809E8A70_1_201_a.jpeg

It might be useful to see it from other angles and also showing what parts move.

You might be very lucky, and find someone here who has seen one before. Otherwise, we will need more information and more views. What are the dimensions? Please post photos of more sides, and any informative details. Do any parts move? If so, please post photos which show the motions.

@lptools, here's your second image....they MUST be under 1 MB to load on ANTIQUERS.....I reduced the size a bit.........OR did you prefer the 'thumbnail' image loaded??

Yeah I'm with komokwa, from this angle it looks like a homemade (one off) mounted guillotine / cutter, or press..

I do think it stands up, but I don't think it gets bolted in place. Looks to me like you got a choice of hand grips on the one end, and that implies motion.

It looks like it has "steps" to lock in place at differedent angles like a jack. There is an eye hook ? with wire on the far left. That has me curious as to its purpose.

I tried a few new photos! I think it is used to raise/lower or stretch something!! Just guessing, no proof, yet!!

In the tool world, when all else fails, it is either a saw set, a leather tool, or a fence stretcher!!:)

    that's a cool looking f--ker........odd as well
yes , those steps hold the weight of the handle as it rises.........hummmm

looks well made .......looks hand made....& for a right handed pull.....

@MKLH .... my thoughts at first too......but notice how your pics all show a lever pushing down.....as where this puppy looks to pull up......

If you don't find an answer here, there's wonderful subreddit you can try.

I think though that you have to first upload your photos to Imgur or some other photo hosting site in order to post them there.

Yes I did see that, and the hook as well, but also considered that the steps/notches could be a downwards cutting height adjustment and the hook tied to a tension wire ... however seeing more photos , the stretcher does make more practical sense.

I considered a fence / wire stretcher as well , but the steps don't factor in.

TDC I'm assuming the lever on the handle moves the arm and block it's attached to backwards ?
