Hi everyone. I'm not a collector as yet but I have in my possession two ebony (possibly cocuswood) draughtsman's rolling rulers. One has script font type initials carved on it looking like TFG or TPG. Are there any records of these initials? I'm just curious.
I make wooden mouthpieces for piccolos and thought I might use this wood, but after examining the initials and as I often do draughtsman drawings I thought it would be nicer to polish and keep these. I just don't want to damage the carved initials in this process.

Welcome. Trouble uploading photos? When you start your new thread about your piece, just email them to yourself as medium size or resize them on your computer to medium. Take a close up of the initials, please, and check "Insert as Full Image" on top of your photos, so the members can easily see your piece.
