Seconded! eBoo chews off about 30%. I should have done that a while ago too, but it came right in the end. (some fishies on a bracelet swam home to Paris )

 

I think you could work wonders. The jade ring is still in one piece, so you'd probably only have to fix the back of the loop of the flower basket.

 

@kyratango could repair these pronto!

Ha! I was going to ask for a pic of the back, to figure was was needed to mend
Thinking it could be repaired with translucent polymer clay, modeled to match the lack, but not sure if it will be strong enough

 

Maybe with an extra metal wire for support? Or nylon wire, the fishing type that is also used for necklaces?

 

I'm positive some fix is doable. The Jade loop hooks in nicely in it's current state, and technically, one could wear the earrings already. With gravity the loop holds the bottom section and there is even that little broken lip that keeps the ring in pretty well. I can even giggle it a bit and it holds.

However, since that back section is missing, there is a danger that if they caught in your hair or similar, and pulled upwards bringing the loop to the opening, well the bottom sections could fall off. So something needs to happen.

Closing that gap is the ticket.. but there isn't pressure on that area. You'd just be creating a fail-safe to close that opening. I have to say that the whole thing feels pretty stable so likely would tolerate some kind of fix.

 

Good news for kyra, if she wants to go ahead with it.

That is fantastic!!! If the hook upper part is still steady, I think the repair, once in place and glued, will stand little effort
