Worth refinishing? Guess on age?

    Hi @Mielikki, and WELCOME to ANTIQUERS!! Looks to have some nice inlay.....would you be doing the restoration yourself, or having it done?? Have you done restorations of this kind before??

    Is that inlaid wood marquetry or leather? I'm sorry, it looks like all wood, but I don't want to guess without seeing more detail. Aquitaine, can you tell?

    Looks dried out - rub some type of refinishing oil into it! The Fine People on here will have more definite ideas on what to use.

    I would try to do it myself but I have never done it before so it would be a learning piece. I am not sure it its worth it or if it would make it worse.

    Looks like most of the work is done for you. Probably won't get those rings out since would be easy to sand through the veneers doing so. Won't hazard a guess on age without pics of construction.
