Worth refinishing? Guess on age?

    @Ownedbybear, what's the "half walnut trick", please??? Something in my vast accumulation of years I haven't heard of!!!!

    I posted some pictures. It does not appear to be dovetail but rather wooden pegs.

    It's good for removing scratches but not for a refinish....And I think it is the actual Walnut meat, not the shell?
    (Off of the internet):

    "The Miracle of a Walnut!
    Simply rub a walnut over a scratch in wood several times. Then, with your fingers rub the scratched area. This will help the wood absorb the oil from the nut. Lastly, use a soft cloth to buff the area."

    I need to get some walnuts.


    I wonder...was that discovered after trying peanut butter first? I made peanut butter from scratch during the lockdown. Freshly roasted peanuts are pretty oily.

    It works incredibly well, not just on scratches. I've used it on white water marks and rings. (Ma swore by fag ash, but I ain't starting to smoke.)

    You do need walnuts in the shell, rather than prepared ones. They retain more of the oil.
