    Thanks Obb. That was my first reaction. I like it a lot, but just seems a little clunky for art deco.

    Deco for sure,and the metal plaque design does have some American Machine Age in it. The whole necklace is more straight Deco though. I'd wear it if I had it.

    Funny, it was at an estate sale with a ton of costume jewelry, almost all modern and pretty junky, at $10 each. This necklace was locked in the case at $24. Go figure. The sale was run by people who are pretty knowledgeable, so just something that slipped through the cracks.

    I would have purchased that so fast for $24!

    It's really unusual. I would not have guessed Mexico from the front.

    I would not be surprised to learn it's a designer piece. Gorgeous!

    It is certainly unusual, but the way the 'stones' are mounted looks Mexican.
