Writting Desk

    I think it came from my neck of the woods. Or at least, the design did and probably the glass. That panelling is absolutely typical of late 19th into early 20th glass here. So, if it's an Antipodean wood, it's feasible the glass was brought out. Or acacia panels were added: the rest looks rosewood.

    It would vary quite a bit depending on area and selling venue in the US. At retail, would think at least $300.00 in most areas. Could see it bringing double or more in some big city shops.

    I'm not far from verybrad (on a global scale, that is) but would estimate higher in my part of the U.S. Midwest; perhaps $750 depending on where and when. But with a high quality piece like this, once interest in the time period revives (if it ever does....) then LOOK OUT!
