Another item from my Grandfather, I found this cleaning out his garage. I thought this was lost in my last move but going through some boxes this fell out into my hands.

That 1917 is a beautiful example condition is everything it commands that price thank you for posting. I haven’t shopped these in a while the condition is very good last time I checked I think a fair offer was around $600, now if the scabbard pins were intact closer to the example you posted on a good day. Todays market I’ve no idea if they are up or down?

That knife's a wicked beauty-looks like something designed for one of Batman's 'Arch Villains'.Brass knuckles combined with a handy-dandy triangular blade-a 'sticker' and a 'basher'.

Came across this one the asking price is more than I expected to see its very nice not as good as mine I don’t think and the belt pins are missing, I don’t know if this is in the right range or not?

these blades indeed can be expensive,,,,,but you are not a military antique dealer.... so asking or expecting their price range ..... is not realistic.... BUT...... I suspect at a good auction , or private sale..... the price will be handsome !;)

Ha ha, na…I’m 71 my dad was born in 1915 I think my grandfather was born in 1895. He had two moving trucks the first one had wood spoke wheels and solid rubber tires and gas headlights, it was a big old truck with canvass sides that rolled up.

im not sure if he served, in WW1 I don’t think so, I’m sure he got this like most everything else, he knew a lot of people in San Francisco and did a lot of estate work.

my grandfather was frugal, he saved everything… bread wrappers nicely rolled and stacked and good stuff too. The common theme though was stuff that didn’t sell or was overlooked with little discrimination. The stuff I have the tip of the iceberg arter years of selling, trading and giving away. It was easy to take for granted back then there are many things I wish I still had believe me.

Yep Des,I'm about your age and the stuff we took for granted back when we were kids ! I know all the youngsters want MCM now,but the inflation in the Militaria market's nothing to sneeze at.
PS-Main diff btw now 'n then-is it was affordable by more than just the tech folk.
