Yixing Teapot???

Hi All,

I'm new here but need some advice please! now I have come by a Teapot, apparently it is a Yixing Teapot. I have been offered a large amount of money for it but I really would like to know more about it as he seemed overly keen? thanks guys, would love to know more about it!

Your pot is marked 吳德盛 Wu Desheng. This was a well-respected maker active largely in the Republic era.

You will find modern copies out there. If you're selling, then you need to have an expert look at this first-hand, or sell it with the buyer making his own judgement as to age and authenticity.

 

The base is quite scratched and it feels old. The gentleman that offered me the money saw it in hand, but I didn't want to accept an amount without knowing more about it
