Hi guys. I have this ginger jar for couple of months now. It is beautiful, colors are bright, very artistic design, rather whimsical. About 6” tall. No marking. There is a glaze but not too much. I could not find any info online. I’m wondering if this is some student work or hobby item. Many imperfections made me think it’s a apprentice work. Any thoughts? Thanks, as always. Happy Monday. 75368E9F-3D4A-4E19-B9AA-776EFBCD4306.jpeg F9A58051-0256-47F2-AAA8-C82E64EF5DA3.jpeg 1FA2521E-CAE3-4543-B86B-61D6131646F3.jpeg

I just noticed this inside the lid, on the rim, like little small symbol or it’s nothing. 2E15ACAF-0292-448C-A37B-A08DCE2F785F.jpeg

I made no progress with my research on this. Could not find anything similar online. So far I know it’s newer piece and not a ginger jar. These imperfections are confusing me, are they there purposely or just a student work. Any recommendations on what to look for? Thanks, as always.

Looks like something inspired way down the line by Mackenzie Childs.

Thanks Debora. Yes, there is a whimsical vibe to it. I have a feeling that someone was having fun creating this and loving red flowers, colors, gold. Very creative.

I'd call it a lidded urn.
