Antique Wooden Horse/European or Asian?

Hi!....This is my Thrift haul for today....it is a wooden horse with what I think is brass for ears and copper mix for the saddle and other horse jewelry etc....at first glance this horse reminded me of pics of Tang horses ....so I grabbed it....but now I'm not sure....it could be European....he is 10 in ht x 8.5 wth.....there seems to be some red color in areas that I only noticed with use of the camera flash...there are no marks.....Ps...My fingers are crossed for Tang Dynasty 1800's repro....

 

These are typically fairly recent decorative imports from India.

So no Chinese Antique Tang repro?........well Thanks anyway....he's cute and will make a good pet.....lol!
