Featured Does anyone know this makers mark?

I have this old bowl, but the makers mark on the back I cannot find anywhere. Does anyone know anything about this? Also signed O. Rounds.

O. Rounds is the name of the painter.

 

Why would you capitalize "state?"

 

My partner works as a subsitute teacher in a two state correctional facilities. I have great fun telling people that my boyfriend is in prison.

 

Maybe because the word at the beginning of a sentence, is capitalized !

 

Looks like a retro painted blank from the factory. The 'France' stamp looks like something out of Limoges.

 

Funny I read it as state meaning condition.

Anyway, all jokes aside, I've been looking and looking. I can't find the mark.

I've been having a hard time with this one. The France part of the mark does look like Limoges (as Chinoiserie mentioned) but the rest of the mark looks like something Samson (or a similar decorating company) might have used. Regardless, I think this might be hobbyist painted. The art work isn't bad but the gold and the overall composition just doesn't look right for a piece decorated in France. I would also expect the signature to be somewhere within the art work rather than on the bottom. I'm sorry I can't provide any definitive answer but this piece is a bit of a puzzle.
