Featured Help, identifying paper weights

Discussion in 'Antique Discussion' started by Amanda Cyriacks, Jun 2, 2020.

  1. Hello there. I'm new here. I have recently acquired some items from my dads estate after his passing. I know minimal about antiques, only what I've heard him talk about with friends or tell me about growing up. So, first off I was hoping to find some help identifying some paper weights.
Here is the first. There is a White piece inside with 1852 on it.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

WOW! That's the same pattern as the one in the link that @i need help sent you to!!!! I'm sure there are differences, I just gave it a quick look!! And I too am so sorry for your loss. As well as WELCOME you to being a new member here!!
You don't have to start a new thread....you can add the other paperweights to this thread as well.....you just might want to add a small piece of paper with a number next to them to keep which one members might be talking about..straight!!!:):)

  4. This one has a certificate of authenticity with it.

Paul Jokelson was a major collector of sulfides. For some reason I have 2 copies of his book.

Someone has one on eBay for $850 but I don’t know how long they have been sitting on it.

I agree. He could be just hoping. @janettekay will know better about where to look for a more realistic range.
