There are also rings like this in the Sears catalog from the early 1900s. I need to hunt my reprint out but I actually went on eBay to see if there were any of the signet rings from the catalog on there.

Anyone who has an early 20th century Sears catalogue in their possession is bound to be helpful. I'm sure you will find many more ways to join in & contribute. I'm still quite a new member, but have found so many interesting things to look at & comment on, & so many great, friendly, knowledgeable people to comment to, I've already become 'well-known'. Suspect this is a euphemism for notorious. Welcome again. :writer::turtle::cat:

I collect jewelry, both costume and fine, as well as Native American. So I might be able to contribute with those. But I actually just love anything antique or vintage!

I have collected Zuni and Pueblo and I have some signed earrings with a good artist. Luckily Native American jewelry is still pretty affordable and I often pick it up at estate sales. I also have collected some Mexican silver pieces. Whenever you see malachite stones set in silver, it is often a Mexican piece. Look out for anything marked Alpaca, that is not high silver content. Only buy that if you like the design as the value is kind of so-so.
