Featured Another pocket watch thread

My wife bought me this exact same watch a few months back. I’m really interested in getting it working again but every watch maker I reach out to won’t touch it. Any idea what it might take to get this thing working again?

The watch is in upstate New York now (the Adirondacks). Pocket watch repair is a bit of a lost art here so I figured I’d have it shipped out. Many of the restoration shops I reached out to told me that sourcing original parts for it would be difficult and ultimately would be to lengthy of project to take on.
