Featured art glass candy dish or dresser jar

    As per the opening post, the bottom is completely flat.

    I guess what I was asking about is if the color is on the bottom or if it is clear.

    Color is purple like the rest of the body. Color is applied to the outside. It is worn off in places on the lid where fingers would brush against when grasping the finial/knob (or maybe from cleaning). There is also a worn/damaged spot to the color where there once was a sticker.

    it sounds like a stained piece with art glass for the flower on top.

    Markus, I don't know if your account was terminated or what has happened. I am not able to 'tag' you. If it looks like Medusa in some ways but is wearing a helmet, it is probably Athena/Minerva. Medusa often has snaked tied beneath her chin; Athena sometimes has braids/plaits tied below hers.
