    The Artist Giles’s address was 4 Bon Accord Street in Aberdeen, he died there too according to Wikipedia. That address seems to be what is handwritten on the back label.

    Hello everyone

    I’ve talk to Bonhams in Scotland today. The answer they gave me: It’s by James Giles, the Aberdeen artist, and title seems to be ‘Effects of the Rifle’.
    I questioned the sign “mtavich”? Bonhams:
    Very odd. Perhaps some sort of primitive ‘security’ tag
