Wellllll .... I don't know if I'm going to love him back to life. Ew - that sounds rather unsavory. I'll probably gift him so somebody.

Never heard of one of those before, scary and cool all at the same time! imagine pulling one of those out your bags now and pulling its head off! dont think it would be a crowd pleaser... but now i might start trying to pull the heads off any small teddy I see...

DS#2 came along and had to have him. He's now sitting in DS's curio cabinet with all the other oddities.

I had a little Schuco bear once, His head came off and there was a tube inside his body, Not sure what was once in there but I bought it for 50p at a car boot fair and sold it to a dealer for £80.
    Not bad eh!

I've never had one of the animals as far as I can recall. I do have a VW that I got as partial payment to price toys at an estate sale long ago.

Give it to the Hummel kid. He'd get it open.

I had one of the perfume bottle bears a few years back & when I won it at the auction everyone thought it was going to become part of my collection. It was in much better condition than this one & I couldn't sell it fast enough because it gave me the creeps.:eek::eek:

Book - I am glad you found a good home for this poor little creature, but I take it that DS#2 lives alone. ;):D:D:D

He lives with his fiance and gets great delight every time he brings home another creepy ragged antique animal or doll to show her before it goes in the cabinet.
She has her own little collection of misfit tacky figurines that I encourage. Last year for Christmas I got her hats and shawls for her pair of large brass long necked cats.

It sounds like they have both found the right other half.

I don't think all the Sucho monkeys had detachable heads because some was just compacts holders don't try and force it off ,

I was going to ask if they still bring a small fortune. Looking at that link, they apparently do.

This reminds me of a favorite joke...

Why did the monkey fall out of the tree?

    Wait for it....

    Cuz it was dead.

    Bwahhhh ha ha ha

PS I think that monkey is dead....
