Way out of my league James, but nice to look at .. I'm quite content with what I have, there were some nice boxes to look at in the old wooden ones but yours is the Nicest .. Good luck James, you DESERVE to have it ... Joy.

Well dang! This is AGGRAVATING! I was bidding and my clicker stopped working! It's a conspiracy! I say, wouldn't accept my bid. Box sold for $825. and i was willing to go $1000. and my clicker stopped working at $800.

That's a shame. I really hoped to celebrate with you. You'll have more money for next year's quest.

Yeah, i guess, not sure i would have won anyway, there were 2 of us. Things were going along fine but there was a delay in the note, "you have been outbid" "bid again" but with only 5 seconds allowed that little note didn't release in time for me to get another bid in.
    Yes, next time! maybe.

I wasn't gonna go over 1k anyway because wasn't sure it was american origin but i did get stymied prior to reaching that limit

Ruth's other box? Or Deborah's box (Ruth's sister)? I'm sure there is a beautiful old American box waiting for you, one which you can be sure of the origin about.

It's sad right now James .. but when you DO win that beautiful box that is out there just waiting for you your happiness will overwhelm you and you will know that this one was the one you were supposed to have all along ... Joy. .. :)

Yep, it happens, another MISTAKE! Looking back i SHOULD have just put my highest bid in at the start instead of fiddling around with the mouse bid button.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Hey, that's where I live! I always forget that Jackson' Auction co. is based here. They do a lot of online auctions of ephemera and arts related stuff. And maybe other things, too. But I've never participated. The price they are asking for that box is way beyond my means!
