It is not die cast.... it is die stamped.

Thank you for the correction, Hollyblue. I'm afraid I know even less about tin toys than I do about chicken farms!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I'm glad you posted this! Just yesterday my mother asked me to find recent sales of little fuzzy chicks and possibly others. I think they are like the ones in the truck. However, hers are attached to old paper bases, etc. I've seen those for many years but haven't seen hers. She is not extremely tech savvy and doesn't live nearby, so I'll be sort of searching generically since I have not seen the ones that she has. She knows they are not worth a lot but still wants me to see what I can find.

Thanks for showing that, Fig! (And since that one is SO old, I may have to buy it - so as not to "LOOSE THIS OPORTUNITY!!"

I have always LOVED those fuzzy little guys... I remember them from when I was a kid, and i know I used to buy them when my own kids were little. (Whatever HAPPENED to all of them, anyway???) I'm sure I still have SOME around here somewhere, but the newer ones (from places like Michael's, I think) all have plastic legs & feet - not wire like the old ones.
