Relive our Honeymoon, drop into a woodsy lodge the first night, and the house band's The Beatles. The next morn find that someone's stuffed an original Turner oil in the trunk of our 1969 VW (see-I'm staying on topic).
PS-Pearls,I would have to trade it though for world peace & worldwide healing.

here is my glass wish list - a Venini Versace Pezzato Patchwork Vase - when these puppys were first released they were $1500 and I though I'll wait for the price to come down - now the original issues are at $5000+ and the next generation ones which are gold and I don't care for are $2000+

the other is also Venini - made by an American designer and called :tab of acid" -there is one in the Corning museum - I don't know if any others exist...

@bosko69 In 1950, my father worked on his masters in geology in new Mexico. My parents had very little money at that time especially paying for his college. By the way both were from a small farming town. But they had an eye for quality even back then. They bought two Maria and Santana bowls 11" probably for under $5. One they gave to my grandmother the other one my older sister broke in 1954. She has that one .This one was plain but still a strong family memory My siblings and I are in the process of dividing the inherited items of which there are many. I got the Maria bowl since no one else wanted it . I also took the Lucy Lewis jug since no one else wanted that one either. They knew the Maria bowl had value but they dismissed the Lewis.

Kent-O'Bear's pic's a beauty.I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that's perhaps Saxon or dark Ages museum display, orig on left reconstruction on right.Brit Mus perhaps.

I wouldn't mind if this Ottoman kohl bottle joined my collection.
Bad quality pic, so I'll descibe it: The body is lapis lazuli with gilding, the metal is gold filigree mounted with rubies, emeralds and amethysts:

Better quality pics on this site (can't copy them:():

In hope you feel better soon, Lark.
