    Thanks K.
I thought of that too, but no joy. Thanks for trying though, I really appreciate it.
It does.:) I was looking for a cat's eye effect when it first came in, which it doesn't have. But it definitely has schiller, making it look quite mysterious in real life. So plain old moonstone.:playful:

My mother's favourite poet, Friedrich Schiller :

Schiller effect in stone is like a soft unearthly glow that can appear, move, and disappear. It is not as pronounced as cat's eye effect, and more diffused.:)

I love words that sound like their meaning. There is a whole new thread of entertainment there.

Just throwing this in here, I expect you may have dismissed this maker but I saw VK for the first 2 letters, sadly not the other mark. Van Kempen.

    Thanks, Houseful.:)
I don't think it is by van Kempen, as far as I know they never made jewellery, and their marks always had the crescent moon symbol which was supposed to represent a caddy spoon. Not that I ever recognized it as such...;)

Thanks, Jeanny. Good to have confirmation on the VC 71, now all we need is the maker.:joyful:
Jewellery is highly infectuous, I know. Thanks for the link too, I noticed I had it bookmarked already.
