    I'm tired and didn't read everyone's answers.
Did anyone mention the fact that they claimed these were Lucite?
They look like the 60s junky plastic dime stores sold.
    I think it was misleading.

They had the caveat - Lucite or similar vintage material - in the description.

To me, most lucite IS junky plastic.

I have used various props at times. Sometimes I put an item on old sheet music with a fresh rose, sometimes a vintage doiley. Look at the way she photographed the earrings. I photograph my dolls against a lace curtain backdrop.

    The title said Lucite.
Yes, I saw that line, but they gave the impression it was as good as Lucite.

    Those are great!!!!

WHAT? You sell dolls? What is your seller name, if I may be so bold?

I haven't sold anything for a few years. It is my retirement plan to sell again. I tend to stick to dolls from the 50s on up. I have sold some beautiful Miss Revlons, Ideal dolls, American Character, Barbies. I sold an Amosandra in excellent condition. I bought Tonner dolls and made hundreds on them. There are rarities in the doll world; Tressys are a dime a dozen, but not the brunettes. Same for Miss Revlons. I just pick them up when I find them. I bought a rare Madame Alexander Shari Lewis for 50 cents. What kind of dolls interest you?

Well I don't really collect dolls but I got interested in them from lurking on the old doll board on ebay. I really like the hard plastic ones from the 1940s and 50s. I would love to have a Cissy....

Late to the party. First thought, no way these earrings sold for that much.

But absolutely CORRECT, someone left positive FB for this sale. Earrings did sell for that.

With so many followers (103?) I wonder if the seller has some kind of local following. Maybe wealthy friends?? The boss's wife? A worthy friend that people want to support?

Noticed that the person who purchased the earrings and left feedback signed off with "Susie" at the end of the FB.

Here's a question for any/all of you who sell.........who would you say is the easiest to deal with when setting up, etc to deal with to sell: Ebay, Ruby Lane or Etsy????? AND one more question......what kind of stuff can one now sell on Amazon??? Thanks!!

Sure is. So who gave the Best Answer in this case? It's Book's thread, but she seems to be the one who received the Best Answer. Did she give it to herself?

I guess someone is having fun playing around with the Best Answer option.:hilarious:

Best Answer doesn't make sense anyway, you never know if a better answer will come along later.

Just wondering, did anyone here, except for Book, ever get a Best Answer?

Aqui, I haven't sold on eboo in probably 12 or more years. I do buy there
    .
Setting up on etsy is fairly easy, but they require that tags be added to the listing to be found in search. It is fairly straight forward (at least at the moment).. so.

RL I have no idea, but I think it is curated there and pretty pricey.
Amazon, have no idea what they restrict. They did try to entice handmade item sellers from etsy but I am not sure it worked out.

I'm on Etsy about 18 months and went through the process on Ebay recently, for bits under 20 years etc. I was very raw with Etsy and found it hard enough in the beginning, it's a doddle now. The forums were very helpful and quite powerful but they changed the format recently and they are crap now, not user friendly at all..divide and conquer.

I found listing onEbay easier, didn't need the forums at all. But I am not active yet. And maybe more experienced too.

There is a wide variation on prices for the same thing on both, we tend to price in the middle. For example a native in Germany will get Rosenthal really cheap to resell, others won't. And a rare rosenthal teapot will fetch big bucks in comparison to other Rosenthal teapots. Some shops specialise in rarity and attract collectors.

There is also the economic difference in countries, I'm astonished at the jewellery bargains you get in the US, wouldn't happen here in Europe, you see? If you are stuck with something re. Etsy give me a shout okay?

Sellers will always follow market forces

Best answer thing is new eh?
