Meant to say as well that the only reason I thought the box was between those ages was I read somewhere that just CHINA on the back was between those times, but can't even rememer where I saw that now . Made in China was a different time according to this thing I read xx​

I only mention this because of the well-spotted bird feeder and I don't even know if you bought the pieces at the same place and I don't know why it would be fancy glass, BUT.

People who keep birds often keep fake eggs in nests in the hope of preventing females from laying eggs.

Granted the fake eggs are usually meant to mimic real eggs, but sometimes I can't stop myself from sharing every idea that pops into my head.

And knowledge from my bird rescue days so rarely comes into play.

 

Neat finds. Love the Chinese box and first thought along w/others was to check for gold on the H ring.

The hat pin looks like it has a piece of bakelite on the top, but appears to be snapped off maybe? The setting is a bit hard to sort out. But I do think bakelite for the red section.

The little box is a definite keeper!

This will probably surprise no one but I DO have a few of those wooden egg stop females laying things,but in wood ( for some reason I love egg shaped things...!? I have loads in different materials. No idea why they appeal to me,they just do !)

I can't remember quite now ( though was only this weekend) if I got the egg and bird feeder at the same stall. I shall have to ponder...as that does make sense. But think those eggs are usually brownish and bland but I don't know as I haven't looked and that is just because as a child I had one which was brown and land and someone told me it was to go in a cage ... so as ever,I am clueless x xx

The bit at the top is definitely glass, I love bakelite and look for it everywhere and this is for sure glass xx
I don't think it's broken off BUT as you say the whole thing is hard to make out...it's even worse at the back ​
