    Do you think the artist did everything from scratch?

    Try using another piece of tape to gently "pick" it off. Best to use the same kind of tape.

    Last resort is Bestine, a rubber cement solvent we used for removing spray glue on paste up type back in the day. But that's used mostly for paper and hard surfaces.

    It is a solvent and toxic, but since I didn't die from using it 8 hours a day for about 15 years, I still use it if I have to :)

    It's hard to say......I know in the case of the ones I own, the artist bought the molds, & made the body and clothing.

    Your artist might have painted the features on purchased molds.

    I don't think it matters very much, unless the artist was well known.

    I really know nothing about home ceramics.
