    No relative of mine, but here is a 15th century Jürgen:

    The names Jürgen, Jurgen, Jurjen, Jurriaan, Jurres have all been in use in my father's family since ca 1600. Maybe earlier too, but ca 1600 is the earliest record I have of the name in our family.
    Schorsch is also known as Sjors, Joris, Goris, Gorris, etc
    All of the above are versions of George.
