No but I imagine they will look out for it. I am not to mention their authentication in my listing which is understandable.

 

I would just like to say thank a big you to everyone who helped with this - especially Say_It_Slowly who put me on the right track. I had been searching Lovebirds without success only to find that they are turtle doves.

I listed the piece on eBay and was soon inundated with Buy It Now requests. I have never stopped an auction before in 21 years but for someone who had the base to the vase this was an important item and I decided that the offers were more than sufficient for me to be happy with the result so I ended the auction and re-listed with a scheduled Buy It Now a bit higher than the highest offer.

I sent the interested people a note of the exact time the listing would go live and it sold within ten seconds of that time.

Maybe it would have gone for more if I had let it run (they usually do) but I am happy, hopefully the buyer will be happy too.
