Hi everyone, got the appraisal from jeweler,
Its the real deal, dated 1920's-1930's,
Total of 15 diamonds in all.

All of your photos are not in focus,did he tell what type of cut the diamonds are?

 

Can you share with us why he assigned your piece a 1920s-1930s date? Because if I had to make an educated guess, I'd think the 1950s. (Just curious. And always eager to learn.)

A quick internet search brings up this:

"Fur clip is the collector's nickname for what manufacturers referred to as a pin clip when they were newly made. It is a double-pronged mechanism that was widely used in the late 1930s through the 1940s, although there was some lingering use in the 1950s."

I just noticed that your item can be worn as a fur clip and a brooch. I've not seen that before.

Here's the earliest date for fur clips from the internet. (A source is cited.)

"Dress clips were popular from the late 1920’s through the 1950’s, with double prong (fur) clips being used as early as 1928 (Cartier by Judy Rudoe)."
