I don't blame you one single bit for fuming!

It's nice to know though that the buyer was an honest one.

Wishing you better results with your PO in the future.

    Hi,
When I was starting out on eBay back in the late 1990s. I sold two very popular pattern bowls to a guy. He emailed back that the two bowls arrived with several large chips missing off the rims. I asked him to return the broken bowls in the meanwhile I refunded his money. When I received the package back it contained not the two bowls of slight blue tinge which i sent but two chipped and scratched clear bowls. When I complained to eBay. I was told that I had no proof and the case was closed.

We sold a camera and posted to the US. It arrived "in need of repair", a lens having dislodged itself, allegedly. Postage was hefty, so we ended up giving the camera away. Chances are it was a ruse used many times to acquire free cameras from distant lands.

I suppose eBay fees will be the final insult in this latest experience. eBay fees on postage have stopped me selling overseas.

I am assuming it is the same for you, but here in US if you give a full refund through eBay they automatically refund your fees. If you refund through PayPal you have to call them but they will still refund the fees.
