    I’ve been injecting insulin for 43 years, got it as a kid. It’s a royal pita but doesn’t have to limit you. Was it her pancreas that was damaged (that’s where the beta cells are that make insulin). If she’s taking it twice a day and not with every meal, she must still produce some insulin, just not enough.
