Aside from the unfortunate spout...do Chinese peaches look like those on the teapot? Ours are not pointy on the bottom, but quite round, and of a soft orange colour—peach—rather than rosy-white.

 

Yes they do. If you look at Chinese art you find them everywhere, as a symbol of longevity.

There are different peaches, even very flat ones that look like turbans.
