    Hi,
I had a friend that bought a huge display of glass eyes from a deceased Doctor. She took the eyes out and made them into all kinds of jewelry. She was selling them in NYC for several years. I have one around here somewhere. Gosh I do not think I have seen it in a couple of years.

Wrenching this back on topic. ;) I think 25 was a fair price, whatever it is.

But you're right, it was not an expensive mistake.

@Barn Owl, let us know if it's sterling?

If that's sterling, it's a score no matter what. Hand made silver beads, strung on chain are always a good thing. Chain means somebody cared.

When I eventually get a silver testing kit, I'll let you all know what it ends up being :)

Am curious; might you post a photo of the other side, bottom center? I've lived in NM, USA, a total of 17 years (now in CO), and have some 'experience.'

Would love to see a photo of the other side, center of the necklace. The half-dome round beads are called "Hogan Beads" here in SW America, presumably to harken to two hogans put together. Hogans are still in use by the Navajo, with the open door to the east, in which separately, men and women meet for a sweat. It's the SW version of northern plains 'sweat lodges.' The blossoms are squash blossoms, but it isn't technically a squash blossom necklace because there is no Aja. My guess is it's a 1940s-mid 1950s piece and the silver content should be high. A very nice piece. See, e.g., https://nativeamericanjewelrytips.w...som-necklace-what-is-its-history-and-meaning/

I love this piece. Looks like a bench made high silver content NA piece. I would guess 1940's give or take. No machine made parts on this, all hand made. My guess would be Navajo.
