    Nice!:)
The wee happy Jesus looks similar, but more decently dressed.:playful: It doesn't look like a Schwäbisch Gmünd piece to me, but it is definitely special.
    Love the bracelet.

Thanks. That chunk of rock is too heavy to wear for long, but it's pretty. The crucifix doesn't weigh as much as it looks like it ought to, which to me means it's older.

    Latest cross found!
An old micro mosaic one, silver gilt mounted, perfect condition!
4.5cm long without the bale by 3.3cm large.
Surely @Any Jewelry will know the signification of the letters:singing::happy:

That is a beautiful one, unusual. No dead Popes.:D I love it.
And here I was thinking you were a good Catholic girl.:(:hilarious::kiss:
    Those are Greek letters.
From top to bottom the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End of all that is, symbolising Christ.
From left to right PX, Pax Christi, the peace of Christ. Pax is Latin, so a mix of Latin and Greek.
    :)

Yep, no dead pope photo!:joyful: I love the colors too and the tiny tesserae!
    A good Catholic girl... a pagan atheist, yesss:troll:
Thank you for clarification of the symbolism of the letters (I thought Greek because of the Omega... But not sure for others:shy::facepalm:).

Just to clarify, the Alpha and the Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, hence the Beginning and the End.;)

    Kyratango, nice cross!
Which letters do you want to know?
I only see PAX (which is Latin for peace) and the Greek letters
Ahhh Any Jewelry already explained, I see it now

And I was thinking a dyslexic mosaicist got his chi rho reversed.

On a class trip to the Jewish Museum, the guide was showing us a tiled floor ringed with the signs of the zodiac. The guide said, You would hardly think it was Jewish, would you? I whispered to the teacher, Of course you would; it's Mosaic. She whispered back, You're bad.

Can't see the A being part of PAX, leaving the omega all on its own, unless you were meant to use the A in both ways.

It isn't. It doesn't say PAX, it says PX, which is short for Pax Christi.
It's one of those Catholic things.;)

The Omega is connected to the Alpha. "I am the Alpha and the Omega".

Sorry for the confusion, I never learned Greec, much to my regret, so only the Latin 'spoke' to me
Kyratango, maybe all these nice old crosses will get you a good place on the other side anyway ;)

A cojoined P and X is an ancient symbol for Christ. Took this heathen Baptist about two seconds to read those tea leaves. :p Or tesserae. Dunno why they used Blue white and red, unless it was to appeal to those French people across the border. Unless the red and white are yet more Christ references (red blood serving as bleach for sins) and blue being Mary's color.

This is lovely Kyra. It makes me think of the tiled floor of a Cathedral when you see a photo taken from high up in the roof.

    I'm sure they will.
Or to Dutch people, to get those heretic northerners back in the flock.:playful:

One of the times I was in Malta, I saw a leaflet with a prayer to pray for Dutch Catholics to obey the Mother Church. I thought it very sweet of the Maltese to worry about our spiritual wellfare.:)
    But would we listen?

5E908F93-F50D-4A63-A6A7-2021BB691913.jpeg This micro mosaic cross is huge! (Sorry for the hand- background but this time its just to show the size).
Next to it is a normal sized cross for reference.
It bears the PX Pax Christi letters, a copper little Jesus and 4 famous Roman/Italian sights. (Sorry, didn't look them up).
I believe this one was made to hang on a wall. (Cant imagine someone with this around his neck!).:hilarious:
I bought it a few months ago on a flea market. My husband didn't like it but I couldn t let it pass for a tenner.

I think they are 4 of the 7 pilgrim churches of Rome, the ones a Roman Catholic pilgrim has to go to when in Rome.

At the top Saint Peter's, with the Egyptian obelisk.
On the left San Giovanni in Laterano, St John in Lateran.
On the right Santa Maria Maggiore.
At the bottom could be San Lorenzo fuori le Mura in mirror image, St Lawrence outside the Wall. The tower should be on the other side.

Any Jewelry, thank you very much for telling me what the buildings are!

People throw out the most amazing treasures for next to nothing because they have no clue of what they have. Knowledge is the real treasure, but I m telling you nothing new here
