I found a list compiled by a collector of capademonte artists. (Can’t account for accuracy) here are the Ms.
    Sandro Maggioni (looks like Maggioui)
    Marcolini
    Gianni Merlo
    Bruno Merli
    M. Moretto
    M. Mozetto
Also, is it possible bottom line says
    Made in Italy, or
    Made in Naples?

I don't think the last name starts with an M.
I think the first name does.

Okay, now Im wondering if someone stuck the Batignani label on there and its not actually a German piece ?!? I stupidly assumed that was a capodemonte because of the crown over n mark, not knowing that German companies apparently used it as well ! Always learning in this biz. The mark on mine just doesnt seem to match any Ive found, all their crowns have dots on the points whereas mine doesnt ?I really do appreciate you all looking so hard for me.

say_it_slowly The worst prison is a closed heart

What I noticed is that some of the Batignani clowns seem to be made in a similar manner. Since the company is still in business maybe email and ask. I love the faces (not as in love with the gilt:p)

I read somewhere in my internet search that they used gold gold to coat some of their sculptures.

I don't know why it just wouldn't be a Batignani piece. They're a quality ceramic house. Known for gold-coating some pieces. Era's right. And, by way, here's an excerpt from the company's head obituary.

Alberto Batignani was a ceramic artist and a great fan of Fiorentina.
On the professional front, he had taken over the business of his father and uncle in the Batignani Ceramics in '66. He particularly liked to make ceramic statues by hand. Perfect works, one different from the other, small masterpieces of art and crafts that were sold all over the world. First in the workshop in via Adriani, then in via di Rusciano, and finally in Vallina (Bagno a Ripoli) where the company is still based, he worked tirelessly on that profession which was first of all a great love.

Have you gotten a reply from the company?
