Featured Jewelry help needed, pearls etc

    Hmmm.... I haven't personally seen that marking for 14 K gold before. If it is suppose to be 14 karat gold it should be written as 14K or 14Kt, not 14KG. I believe there have been cases of such marks as 14KGP (gold plated) having the "P" rubbed out, 14KGF (gold filled) F rubbed out, and 14KGS (gold shell) having the S rubbed out all in hopes of passing for 14K, 14Kt.

    Well I guess it didn't clear things up at all, lol! I was going from my photos and thought for sure it was a "G", but just got a stronger loupe out, and now I think it is in fact an "S". It is a very ornate "S" the top and bottom sort of tuck back in at a sharp angle. At this point, who knows. I think this necklace is going to have to be brought in to a jeweler. Thanks for your patience, everyone!
