Featured Little Ring found for a buck-what kind of stone please ?

I still remember an egg basket I found in my grandmother's basement. It was high on a shelf in a "room" down there. Meant to hold canned goods. Totally empty , except for the basket. I was 13. Took it upstairs and Mom said that it had been there when they bought the house ... in 1946. Mom washed it off and put it back for the next owner to find. There was a fire in the house years later, I'm told. Half wish I'd kept that basket!

 

That's like one of the lost artifacts I dream about-a few toys,my grandma's miniature ivory elephants,my mom's recipe box.

 

I wish I'd stollen my Moms gold brooch, before the help did !!
