Featured Makers mark on silver brooch, any ideas please?

Thanks for your reply. I am learning that hallmark identification is not as straightforward I thought it would be.

At the end of the day I know it doesn't stand for diamonds becasue my diamond tester is giving me the big thumbs down on the stones, plus they are chipped and worn, its a scraper for sure

 

Do you have special internet or something . What did you search for to find that may I ask? I spent an hour asking different types of relevant questions and got nothing!!

Thank you for the info, I have been researching it this morning and as always have gone off piste with my research and ended up finding out about the whole history of that address

 

Ah right, obvious when you say it, about the one phrase I didn't try

Anyway, at the end of the day VN is a retailers mark correct? So the mystery of the maker will forever remain a mystery, its still a nice brooch though and if and when I do resell it I will entitle it the The Brooch of Mystery
