I get that too! I had a 2 bedroom apt. at my rental property that was full of paintings stacked in piles, nobody could stay there unless they slept on the couch and walked sideways down the hall to the bathroom. :)
I also had 9 lockers full. Now and then I would go through a pile after not having done so for years, it was like I was picking all over again. :)
I still have a collection at my ex-wife’s house in Germany. Good thing we’re still friends, I’ll go get them some day and feel that excitement of finding old friends again.

Yes, on the pyrex coffee pot. I found one not too long ago, NOS, and instead of selling it as a whole, I sold it in pieces for people that needed replacement parts.
I think I made more money that way.
Plus the shipping was cheaper, doing it piece by piece.

I also have a corning tea pot that I need to sell. Etsy deactivates some Corning ware due to recalls, so I hesitate to buy them for sale.

Any additional thoughts nearly 3 years on? I still see tons of Pyrex selling at antique malls & flea markets around here (people carrying it, have it in their carts). Prices still appear to be strong. Thrift stores price it like it is gold. I think that some of the allure is that it is better quality then what is being offered for sale new today.

It sells for me in my booth at the antique mall, but for what I think are reasonable prices (3 nesting casserole dishes of a common pattern + lids for $25). I also sometimes see those crazy prices and those ones seem to still be there the next time I walk by.

I've been buying and selling Pyrex for about 15 years now and some of the prices amaze me! The popular patterns, Butterprint, Friendship, Gooseberry, the solid pink or turquoise all sell for very good money. Common patterns still sell well, just not as high. Many of the limited production promotional pieces sell in almost any condition. There are books out there about Pyrex, the best being the Pyrex Passion by Michael Barber. There is one about the very unusual rare pieces as well, folks call them unicorns. If you're curious, just put Pyrex into an ebay search, click to completed and sold and sort to show the highest price. I keep my eyes peeled no matter where I go for those special things. The silly chip & dip brackets for the squarish Hostess bowls sell for $35.00 for Pete's sake! Those things pay for my vacations and Christmas! Even the plain white "opal" pieces sell to the serious collectors!

I saw a plain olive green 1 quart bowl today. Left it there for another treasure hunter.

I saw a set of Pyrex at an estate sale this past weekend. 4 set of Bowls I believe. In a good pattern, but they wanted $40. Too much to spend. I am cheap at estate sales. I have to keep an eye out for those brackets now... thanks.

And lids in good condition for Corelle bakeware. Maybe not a high money seller, but those of us who use it are forever killing the stinkin' lids.
