My wife got a Bavarian set from her grandmother. We're trying to figure out if it has value or not, because we're trying to downsize. Any help would be appreciated!

    too small to see clearly...
yes , it has value.....but in todays market where younger folks don't use sets like this , and have little room to store large sets like this .... the value is little.

Value often depends on where in the world you live. This is an international forum and we have no idea where you are.
Unfortunately, no one wants "fine" china anymore, it can't be put in the dishwasher.
Yours is a quite a plain set. I'd feel lucky if I could get $50 for it here in Midwest USA suburbia... and that's if I could find a buyer at all.
    Nevertheless, it's lovely and elegant!

Boullion cups included! Looks like a very complete set, and not overly fancy so chances of selling are somewhat better than fustier floral patterns. From the shape, I think late 50s/early 60s. Dunno why it's only marked Bavaria Germany. @Chris Marshall

LOL, I actually think the opposite! :)
Seems to me that the only people interested in china sets these days are the cottagecore types and they prefer the florals.

Well, since I don't sell anymore, my thoughts are probably "dated" but younger people here seem to prefer plainer wares if they think of buying china at all. My daughter who is 40 (how on earth did that happen??) tells me that we have quite different tastes -- fo' shizzle. She likes things that she can get at stores like HomeSense (Winners household outlet) while I got the family heirlooms, so my "taste" is antique/vintage. :hilarious:
