Featured Old marble sculpture

I thought of all the children that are schlepped to graves - and churches - every day without understanding anything; their little soft souls should not be tormented by the egotistic dolefulness of the up-grown whose tears are only due to their own danage.

 

Perhaps the hopeful, cathartic tears and prayers of such children are sweet music that one enveloped by certain isms cannot hear.

Getting back to the original poster's piece, I fear folks may get the wrong impression after all these backs and forths: I don't hate it. The sculpture is really cool and captures at least one, if not several, wrenching emotions. While I wouldn't want it or anything like it sitting over the family grave plot, I think it would be marvelous in a study or den or make a great conversation piece in a university. Hope it turns out to be an exponential return on investment for our friend Luc.
