I've finally begun sorting some of the photos I sent home to myself from my Mom's house in Florida. (I may not finish in this lifetime, let alone get to scan them all, but I'm going to try.)

Anyway, here are a couple photos of my grandfather (whom we called Pop.) Note that he seemed to look older than he was!

This picture is pretty damaged, but I like it anyway: Pop is on the right, mixing whatever's in that bucket. He was 15 here:

In the one below, he was 19, really to leave for France during WWI. The dog is Duke. There are pictures somewhere (haven't come across them yet) of Duke riding on the back of Pop's motorcycle - I remember those pictures from when I was a kid:

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Wonderful photos, and it's great that they are of family members.

Well, Fig, most ARE of family members (LOTS of them!) - but then, here & there, I come across one that I don't recognize at all...
This one does not contain any family that I know of - probably friends of my Mom's during WWII.
I'm posting it just because I know some folks here like military photos:

Okay, King - how about these? Unknown WWII sailor/sailors (maybe the same guy?)

Not unless that P-51 was a Marine aircraft and even so...I'd say it's unlikely Navy was crew on it.
    Mr.s Cracker Jack. :)

Sorry, King - I meant that these 2 sailor pics may be 2 photos of the same guy, NOT that they were in any way connected with the earlier photo...

He/they sure do look like Cracker Jacks!
