Simmons metal dresser

    Recently picked up this Simmons metal dresser. I know they made these for a number of years. Does anyone have any idea what decade this might be from? Or any other info or place I can find out about it? The tag inside the drawer was the only one on it. The person I got it from said it was rusted, so they sanded and painted it.

    Hi Tim - Welcome

    Hotel furniture made by Simmons in the 20s and 30s and came in a suite (or suit, as they say in South Carolina) very desirable and had the added benefit of being fireproof (unflammable?) <3 love

    This piece I have from 40s, was also by Simmons by Norman Bel Geddes. Fabricated by Simmons Manufacturing Company for the Superior Sleeprite Corp., Chicago, Il.
