    Hello! Reviving an older thread again! I just bought a little critter from a thrift store with the same marking. My research has led me to Hans Warta, Rochester NY. There isn't much info on him on the web but it appears that he filed for bankruptcy in 2001. There are some other examples of his animals online.

    Yes, I thought H W was as likely as M H. They critters are super cute!
