Featured Twin Towers and Japan POW's

A drudge job for what was the flagship radio station of one of the nation's 3 major broadcast networks, a top 40 format. Wasn't pulling its weight financially. Sold off & became an all-sports station with different call letters, many years ago now.

I had worked for the network's elections unit during the presidential election the year before. Was out of work when the station called & said elections had recommended me when they were looking for people to do telephone surveys about listeners' music preferences. The former gig was much more engaging, I can tell you.

 

I can imagine.

 

My answer to such a survey? Anything but Top 40 and pop country. Literally anything.

 

I haven't had the use of a radio in my car for years now and don't listen to music here inside.
But I loved disco music always.
