Beautiful. I love Eddi Reader's expressive voice, but the way Boo Hewerdine sings it has more impact.

Milk glass, it ain't, indeed. I suspect a North Eastern maker, although you'd need to tie up the RD diamond to be sure. The shade was sold in BHS in the 70s.

I had the same problem: I've a nice old white opaque glass oil lamp, converted to electricity at some point. It has a decent enough shade, but it's not the original.
